An Ijazah in Hifz is a certificate from a qualified teacher confirming that you have recited the entire Quran from memory, with Tajweed, to the standard required to transmit it. It connects you to a chain of reciters reaching back to the Prophet, peace be upon him.

Our Hifz Ijazah Program prepares you for this trust and takes you through the complete recitation, from al-Fatihah to al-Nas.

What You Will Learn

• An assessment of your memorisation and Tajweed
• A revision plan to strengthen weak portions
• Complete recitation from memory to your teacher
• Precise Tajweed and correct stopping and starting
• Similar verses (mutashabihat) and how to keep them apart
• The etiquettes and responsibility of carrying the Quran

Who Is This Course For?

The program is for students who have memorised the whole Quran, or are close to completing it, and recite with sound Tajweed. Brothers and sisters are both welcome, with male and female teachers available.

How the Classes Work

You recite an agreed portion in each session while the teacher listens and corrects. Portions with repeated mistakes are revised and recited again. The Ijazah is granted when the full recitation is completed to the required standard, at the teacher’s discretion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Must I finish my memorisation before joining?
You should be at or near completion. Otherwise we recommend our memorisation course first.

How long does the program take?
It depends on the strength of your memorisation and how much you recite in each session.

Is the Ijazah guaranteed?
No. It is awarded only when the teacher is satisfied with your recitation. Your teacher will guide you until you reach that level.
