Tuhfat al-Atfal is a short poem by Imam Sulayman al-Jamzuri that sets out the basic rules of Tajweed. For generations it has been the first Tajweed text students memorise.

In this program you memorise the poem, study its explanation and recite it to a teacher who holds an Ijazah in it, so that you may receive the same.

How the Classes Work

A few lines are assigned in each lesson. The teacher explains them, you memorise them and you recite them in the next class along with earlier lines. When the whole poem is memorised and understood, you recite it in full for the Ijazah.
